How to convert values to specific predefined colors and view the matrix

Hi,
I would like to attribute one specific color to each of 30 different values I have in a matrix (400X1000)and get it back as somekind of heatmap. For ex. 1= blue, 2=red, 3=cyan... How do I do that? I will just specify that I do not want to use any gradient of colors...
