After I posted this, I went back to the installation screen and just happened to cloick on one of the three licenses. Magic! The Next button was acitivated and the installation proceeded. No activation key needed. My guess is that this problem was unoque to my situation because I had the three licenses. But for Pete's sake (or someone's), that screen could have a few instructions. Arrrgghh

I am trying my best to acquire a trial installation so I can see if I want to become a licensed user. I finally got the download working and the actual installation appears to be starting, but now it is asking me for an activation key. I don't have one and I don't know where to get one. That screen is also showong me three licenses: 7126082, 7126043, and 7126020. What the heck am I supposed to do with that?
What do I have to do to complete the installation so I can try this thing out?
I suspect the three licenses may be because I started the download a couple of times, but ran into problems and abandoned it.
Mathworks seems to keep putting up roadblocks to my getting a trial version. I've installed dozens of programs over the years. I have never encountered a process so convoluted and riddled with pitfalls. I have spent several hours over several days just trying to get this to work. This whole install process is a muddled mess. If MatLab didn't have such good reviews, I would have given up and go to something else.
