I input the parameters of the 3 phase BLDC motor block (https://www.mathworks.com/help/releases/R2019b/physmod/sps/ref/bldc.html) from a specific datasheet, and supplied it with the nominal voltage from the datasheet with 100% duty cycle (using DC voltage source and inverter block) with no load but the simulation's resultant motor speed is less than half of the specified no load speed in the datasheet. Does anyone have an idea about how to fix this problem please?

Hello William,
can you share the model in which you apply a duty cycle of 100%? Since a closed loop control algorithm is required to drive a BLDC at max speed, it is possible the closed loop test simulation is incorrect while the parameters are correct. It would also be good to double check wether poles or pole pairs were used in the parameterization as that is an easy place to end up with a factor of 2 error.

Joel
