matlab not responding on startup on mac mojave 10.14.5

1 view (last 30 days)
I'm using R2019b and whenver I open matlab on my macbook it just freezes as soon as the window opens and makes me force quit it. I tried checking System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility tab (nothing was there btw), typing /Applications/MATLAB_R2019b.app/bin/matlab -nodesktop and desktop on terminal, and reinstalling matlab but it just keeps not responding. I don't have magnet or other apps that were mentioned on other thread so I don't think that's the issue.

Hi,
As you mentioned this can be due to Accessibility features work on macOS with MATLAB at this time.
Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility.
This list shows all the applications that you've given permission to use the Accessibility API.
A possible solution is to add MATLAB to this list.
If this does not work, please reach out to MathWorks Technical Support by using the following link
Hope this helps!
