How to write equations in MATLAB

I have been trying to write my equations in matlab, but I'm struggling on how to format them on matlab as a code. The equations are:

You can use the symbolic toolbox to find out the derivative of 'x'
syms t w c r
x = r*cos(w*t) + sqrt(c^2-r^2*sin(w*t)^2)
dxdt = diff(x,t)
dx2dt = diff(dxdt,t)
