What do you recommend me to do after normalizing the iris?

Hi, what do you recommend me to do after normalizing the iris? I applied the Gabor filter, with the imgaborfilt function (image,wavelength,orientation); then I turned the phase into a binary number with the im2bw function. When I compare different images I get as different but when I compare two images from the same iris I get all different. Please advise me how to proceed.
