How can we get the online MATLAB version?

We have two sets of licenses in use at Chabot College - one under and one under - and we want our students to be able to use the online MATLAB version since we are transitioning to more hybrid/online classes now. The set of licenses purchased by Bruce Mayer includes the Simulink products and is the main bulk of what our students use for lab courses. How can our students get access to the online MATLAB?
Thanks again,

The first set of licenses were purchased by Bruce Mayer, an engineering instructor who has since retired. He originally bought 30 licenses then his department bought about 30 more before he left. I exported the master license listing but unfortunately it only lists them as "Classrom Licenses".
The second set is smaller (3 lcenses) and are associated under our group IT email address ( They are listed as Academic Individual licenses.
We do not want students to use these email addresses just to log into the online version. Does this mean they will have to sign up for individual MATLAB accounts? (Sorry this is probably a separate question/topic)

The classroom licenses are not eligible for MATLAB Online.
The individual academic licenses are, if support is paid up for them. However each of them must be associated with one particular individual, and cannot be used for a group of students.
You should talk to Mathworks Sales about your options. The volunteers who answer questions here (like me) are often not told about current license offers.

If you have a valid license associated with your Mathworks account, you can use online MATLAB here:
Note that Simulink is not yet supported in MATLAB online.

Hi Mike:
Walter is correct, in that currently Classroom licenses do not provide access to MATLAB Online, while Academic Individual licenses that are up to date on their software maintenance service do. Additionally, there are several other licenses that provide access to MATLAB Online, which you can find here.
Please let me know if this helps answer your question.

Thank you Hisham. Is there any way the Classrom licenses can be converted/upgraded to ones that will allow MATLAB online? If so would you be able to send license cost/quote info to us?
