i am trying to run a simulation of a sieries hybrid vehicle. the Electric moror has no torque imput. it is been simulated to run only on DC current form the battery. the Problem is that i cnt seen to get enoug torque out of it because there is not enough field current. any ideas as to how to connect the Dc machine for optimum torque output

Have a look at power_HEV_powertrain.mdl for a good starting point. If there's not enough current, then you probably need a bigger battery (or more than one)... Generally, when interfacing an electrical machine with a mechanical model, I use the speed input on the machine and feed it the rotational velocity of the shaft the machine is connected to (measured from my mechanical model) and the torque output to inject the electromagnetic torque back into the mechanical shaft.
