Is there a built-in function for errorbarxy?

Hi,

Like many other I need to plot errorbar plot on both the x and y dimensions.

I found the errorbarxy as well as the ploterr functions on the Mathworks file exchange, but these solutions although nice, are kinda of DIY, and do not provide a full customization like the classical plot, scatter, or errobar Matlab built-in functions (such as the handling of the figure objects in order to edit the colors, linewidth, etc. in a script).

Is there any built-in (or at least better) solutions available?

If not, would it be possible to add this on the shoping list for the next Matlab update? :)

Hi,

I understand that you want to plot both vertical and horizontal error bars. This functionality is already there in the 'errorbar' function.

You can do something like this:

x = 1:10:100;
y = [20 30 45 40 60 65 80 75 95 90];
err = [4 3 5 3 5 3 6 4 3 3];
errorbar(x,y,err,'both')

There are ways to customize this behaviour as well. Going through the documentation might help.
