Multiple charts in the same window

I have seen that there is a way to make multiple charts in the same figure. I don't mean using subplot.
The result is a basic and slightly overlapping graph at the top, slightly external and smaller than another graph.
Do you know what the command is?

Thank you.
But it wasn't quite what I was looking for. I had seen that there was indeed a command to do this. For example you created a 2D surface plot and then you could add another graph for example its 3D graph.
Can you show an example?
Where the squares are 2 different plot. I see a comand for do this but I lost it
What about something like this
f = figure();
ax = axes('Position', [0.1 0.1 0.75 0.75]);
plot(rand(1, 10));
ax2 = axes('Position', [0.65 0.7 0.3 0.25]);
plot(rand(1, 10));
