Matlab closing down during start up

Matlab has worked for me quite well for the past few months after I downloaded it for my studies.

It was only recently that this incident occured.

Whenever I try to open the program it closes down during the startup phase.

I have done the following in order to try and fix matlab myself:

1. Restarted the computer

2. Reinstalled MATLAB

3. Deleted the folder for my release of MATLAB in Appdata

4. Checked logs from antivirus (which didn't react to matlab)

5. I've edited the target of the shortcut in properties with an ending ''-nodesktop''

6. Tried to redirect the MATLAB preferences directory.

7. Cleared TEMP folder.

Any help is appreciated!

If MATLAB notified you that it had automatically sent information to MathWorks about this problem, or that you gave it permission to send it, wait for a reply. Technical Support will respond, usually within a day (in my experience).
