I want to convert this code into verilog using HDL Coder.
error is in line 2. ex = exp(x);
code is saved as SOFTMAX_BLOCK.m
function softmax_out = softmax_block(x)
ex = exp(x);
softmax_out = ex / sum(ex);
end
code is saved as test_softmax.m
x = SOFTMAX_BLOCK(8)
x = SOFTMAX_BLOCK(5)
x = SOFTMAX_BLOCK(0)

You need to call test_softmax.m which contains the value of x from SOFTMAX_BLOCK.m. Currently value of x is not accessible to SOFTMAX_BLOCK.m. You may refer to these already answered MATLAB Answer which may help you resolve this issue-
You may refer to this following documentation for any help regarding HDL Code Generation from MATLAB Code-
