How to retrieve data from one region out of 23 in a NetCDF file

Hi, I need rainfall data for one region only from a NetCDF file. I need to pick out the 23rd region only but I don't know how to do this. The relevant variables are below. Thank you in advance.

Dimensions: region,time

Datatype: double

Attributes:

standard_name = 'lwe_thickness_of_precipitation_amount'

You can load/ read the data from netCDf file using ncread.

data = ncread("myncFile",'rainfall') ;

HI, thanks. I know how to read the data in from the file but the data is split into 23 spatial regions and I only need the data from one region. I'm sturggling to isolate the data that I need.

There are 23 rows in the data, do each row correspond to one region? In that case you can pick the row you want.

In case, you have a shap file of your region, and you want data of this region, you have to use inpolygon.

I think in yor case :

iwant = data(23,:) ; 

will give you your 23 region data, if every rwo corresponds to a region.
