Hi, I have a data collected every 3 minutes for several months but now I am only interested in what happen during the day. How can I select the output between certain hours 4:00 am to 7:00 pm for every day of the data? Below is an example of the dat I am working on.

Is the data loaded in MATLAB? If yes, you can do something like this

dts; % datetime vector;
Transp_val; % Transpiration values
hrs = hour(dts)
mask = (hrs > 4) & (hrs < 19);
filtered_dts = dts(mask);
filtered_Transp_val = Transp_val(mask);

Thank you @Ameer Hamza filtered well but reduced my columns to a single one when I apply the mask on the data. I apply the mask I get a single column output.

This only works for the starting point on first day and the stopping point on the last day. The middle part that I don't desire is not filtered. What could I have done? I can use the code you provided to filter the output but it will reduce my columns into a single one. I know it's not elegant like what you wrote but I have burnt so much buttock fat trying to get it to work, so if it could work I will get some comfort ;-)

Can you explain more? Does your data have multiple column in matrix? In that case, you need to index it like this

filtered_Transp_val = Transp_val(mask, :);

I second Ameer's logical indexing approach. On the other hand, if this is representative of your data format, you may consider keeping these timestamped data with timetable.

Assuming you store those in a spreadsheet or CSV format, you can read the data in using readtimetable:

tt = readtimetable('dataFile.txt');

Attached is a resulting timetable from your pasted data.

Then you can do the same logical indexing Ameer suggest, while keeping the timestamp and data together in the same container:
