macOS Catalina and macOS BigSur - Matlab R2020b

I have been experiencing the same type of issues with both operating systems on two different computers. This issue occurs only when I use my mouse to change the position of the cursor. When I do this the matlab app crashes. It begin to load and never ends, rendering the application unusable. When this happens I lose all my code that I had been working on. I should note that I have tried to uninstall and then reinstall the app, and the issue persists. Anyone else having these types of issues with matlab on Mac?
