Make Matlab read definitions from an excel file on app designer

Hi everyone, I am using a deep learning network that is able to recognise object and read their names. I am trying to build a code that would make the app read the definition of the object after reading its name. I have been able to create an excel file with the whole dictionary in it, so the words are in the first column and the definitions in the second column. Is there a way i can index the word from the excel file, find the row and then read the second column of the same row? Thank you very much!
