uigetfile doesn't show in standalone app

I have designed an app in AppDesigner that publishes a script. In that script, uigetfile is used to load the necessary data.

When I run this app in the AppDesigner itself, the uigetfile dialogue box pops up without issues.

However, when I package the app and let it run, the uigetfile dialogue box doesn't pop up anymore. I have found several articles and questions on this issue but none seem to have a solution on how to get this working again on Windows. Any ideas?

In 2022b this bug is still not fixed. What a shame when AppDesigner is the recommended GUI tool...
