Sending pc webcam signal to android device's display

I'm using the Simulink Support Package for Android Devices and I'm trying to show, in real-time, my pc's webcam into my android device's display. My blocks are simple enough, and the code builds successfully and gets deployed to my android device, although when the app runs on my android device, I'm just getting a black screen. My camera is functional, so I don't know what's going wrong. Any ideas as to what the issue is ?

Use external mode, to show your PC webcam data on the phone.
