Fitting multiple Gaussian curves to data with multiple peaks

4 views (last 30 days)
Hello, I have been working with the set of data attached. I have been asked to fit all of the peaks with a Gaussian distribution and then to find the mean distance between them (and associated standard deviation).
I have seen other similar questions here but have no idea where the parameters they used come from.
Grateful to anyone who can give me a hand!

You can split the data set in half and fit 8 peaks at a time.
If you really need a joint fit, you can then use the 8-peak fits as an initial guess in a 16-term custom equation.
