I have been using a software developed in Matlab (special measurement by Yacoby) to control my electronic rack and performing automatized measurements.
Sometimes I just need to send a simple command, for instance I have to set the temperature of my cryostat to room temperature. So far, I have just used the functions set and get, however I would like to create an interface where I have an input box (where I enter the set temperature), a button to set the temperature, and a box for the output (real temperature) which shold update from time to time.
How can I handle with this? Does exist something similar that I can be expired from?
Thanks

For general advice and examples for how to create a GUI (and avoid using GUIDE), have look at this thread.
You can use a callback function to convert the text input to a number (if required) and call set/get as appropriate.
