Anaconda prevents MATLAB from reading files?

My Anaconda (downloaded to run Python), seems to prevent my MATLAB from reading files on my computer. I am looking to import a workspace into a live script, but the only thing appearing in my workspace area is filename and a request.

Is there anyway to fix this?

CPython is the recommended Python build for use with MATLAB, as noted at the following links:
