Hello,
I'm writing because after searching a lot, not able to find an answer. You'll find attached a simple NetCDF file with lon,lat, and precipitation data (on the Area of Atlanta). I can plot it somehow with the mapview function but i'm not able to do a good map with topographic info, name of cities, borders , good projection and good axes etc. I have the mapping toolbox but netcdf files are not recognised. After doing that :
filename =
'AnnualMaxWRF2002_2012.nc'
>> lat = ncread(filename,'XLAT');
>> lon = ncread(filename,'XLONG');
>> p = ncread(filename,'PREC_ACC_NC');
Not able to use mapshow or geoshow. Does anyone have an idea how to do ?
Thanks,
Alex

Hi,
mapshow and geoshow functions doesn't support NetCDF format files. To be able to plot lat,lon and p from NetCDF file please try out pcolor function
You can refer to the below links
Hope it helps
