In the MATLAB command window, I typed "exit", trying to quit the MATLAB program. But I can't. I got an error message like:
>> exit
Exiting MATLAB ...
Error using csvwrite (line 47)
Cannot open file c:\Users\Public\Documents\matlabusage\finishindicator.csv.
Error in usagelog (line 54)
csvwrite([localpath '\finishindicator.csv'],[1 2 3]);
Error in finish (line 37)
usagelog('finish');
It looks like a script is called when leaving the MATLAB command window. I don't know how to find it out and change/disable it.
Thanks.

When you quit() or exit() then finish is automatically run https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/quit.html and https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/finish.html
Use
which finish
to locate the user script that is being invoked.
In the meantime, you could
mkdir('c:\Users\Public\Documents\matlabusage')
to create the directory so that the usage information could be written into it. (usagelog is not something provided by Mathworks, by the way.)
