How to simulate an uphill road on UnrealEngine?

9 views (last 30 days)
I am using the Vehicle Dynamics Blockset toolbox and I would like to simulate in 3D a car going uphill on a road that has a 8% gradient. I am only using the 'Simulation 3D Vehicle with Ground Following' block using x,y and yaw obtained from another model as inputs. The simulation obtained from Unreal Engine when i run the model simply shows the car moving on a straight and flat road.
Is it possible to represent an uphill road? If yes, where can I set that configuration?

Hi Alessandra, starting in R2024b, Vehicle Dynamics Blockset provides a 3D Scene of the ZalaZone Automotive Proving Grounds Hill Tracks: https://www.mathworks.com/help/vdynblks/ref/zalazoneautomotiveprovinggroundhilltracks.html
This scene provides five different climbs with gradients varying between 5% and 30%.
