What is the difference between movavg function and smooth function in MATLAB?

From the MATLAB command window, compare
doc movavg
with
doc smooth
Note: movavg requires Financial Toolbox

hello
smoothdata is much more versatile (vs movmean (which I believe is comparable to movavg ))
look at the doc of smoothdata
