Hello everyone! Can the type of license (being a local or network license) affect somehow matlab's performances? Cheers, Antonino.

The short answer is "no".
The long answer is that there might be a difference on where the MATLAB application is installed and where e.g. data files are read or written. Note that some customer install MATLAB somewhere on the network, like the same machine / server where the FLEXnet license server runs. But this is just an option, not a need. You can also install locally and only the license manager is on the server.
Also one factor that could be seen is that the startup time is slower when there is a network administered license. But this is actually something that likely can be addressed with the help of installation support.

I always thought that as well. I am currently wondering, because is the only difference that - at a very fast check - could explain a performances mismatch I'm experiencing on two different platforms I've been using.
Then, you do think that license's type can't be the cause of this... Or would you also add the long answer.
Cheers and thank you for the interest. Antonino.
