For clusters using MATLAB Job Scheduler (MJS)
  1. Install the desired release of MATLAB Parallel Server.
    • If necessary, make sure the license file on the Network License Manager is updated to support the release you want to use. You may also need to update the Network License Manager to support the newer license file.
  2. Stop and remove the MJS service. You can do this by running "mjs stop" and "mjs uninstall" from the matlabroot/toolbox/parallel/bin directory on each node in your cluster
  3. Install and start the new MJS service installed with your new installation of MATLAB Parallel Server. Optionally, if you plan to support multiple releases of MATLAB Parallel Server, you'll need to configure this in your mjs_def file prior to installing and starting mjs in the installation directory for the new release. See the link below for more information.
mjs (for starting and stopping the MJS service)
Configure Advanced Options for MATLAB Job Scheduler Integration (for using multiple releases of MATLAB Parallel Server at once)

For clusters using third-party schedulers
  1. Install the desired release of MATLAB Parallel Server.
    • If necessary, make sure the license file on the Network License Manager is updated to support the release you want to use. You may also need to update the Network License Manager to support the newer license file.
