I'm a customer success engineer at MathWorks Japan. My addiction to MATLAB got me into MathWorks. I love showing MATLAB, talking about MATLAB, and thinking about how to make MATLAB an even better tool. For 8 years, I was an application engineer at the headquarter, and then I was a training engineer for 4 years at the Japan office, and now I'm a customer success engineer.
I am also one of the bloggers for File Exchange Pick of the Week - http://blogs.mathworks.com/pick.
Note: Please do not send me individual messages or questions, as I will not be able to respond to them. If you have technical questions about MATLAB, please use the various resources on MATLAB Central. If you have a valid license, you can also use Technical Support.

I started using MATLAB in 1985. Top of the line PCs had no hard drive, only 2e-3 GHz CPU, and 5e-4 GB RAM. Look how far we have come since then. Eventually I joined MathWorks. As an application engineer I met thousands of MATLAB users and helped them solve problems. As a quality engineer within the development organization I helped make MATLAB itself even better. Over the years I have used MATLAB to solve a wide range of technical computing problems. I enjoy exploring new problem spaces for myself and helping others learn to use MATLAB.

After 30 years as a hardware development engineer in the T and M industry, I joined the Mathworks Applications Engineering group. When I started in 2001, the AE head count was about 10. When I retired in 2015, it was over 200! Working for a growing organization is far better than a shrinking one. I am still an avid user of both MATLAB and Simulink. My latest Simulink project is an FPGA based radio (see my QRZ page). I'm using MATLAB to control GPIB based test equipment and symbolic / numerical circuit analysis.
