How to fix initial conditions solve failed to converge error message?

3 views (last 30 days)
Hi,
I am modelling the compression of air from an upstream reservoir to a constant volume chamber using a positive displacement compressor (G). I keep getting the error message;
initial conditions solve fialed to converge.
  • Here is a set of componenets with unconverged equations
the block in question is the poisitive displacement compressor (G).
I have looked online and have tried all the fixes suggested; Steady start on/off, increasing consistency tolerance in solver, reducing step time, chnaged block parameters...
I also have not set any initial conditions but get the warning, initial conditions failed to converge.
any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Aiden,
Can you share the model file? It is really difficult to track the issue from the image of the model, instead sharing the model file would help in finding out the root cause of the issue and providing a workaround/solution for the same.

Just commenting to follow the activities in case any model gets uploaded.
One possible thing to try: start the compressor from zero speed instead of a constant. That way one can at least look at the results in Simscape Result Explorer and try to tell what's happening.
