voltage gated potassium channel

I am new in matlab and would like to simulate a voltage gated potassium channel. Any ideas??

Is this a matter for Simulink? Is it a matter for SimState? Is it a differential equation?

As usual in these situations, start at PubMed.

This is actually a much more complicated problem than I anticipated it would be. One place to start is with: Mechanism of Voltage Gating in Potassium Channels. Science 13 Apr 2012: Vol. 336, Issue 6078, pp. 229-233 You can access it through your university library. These authors did the simulations and the article links to several articles that apparently do simulations, starting with Hodgkin and Huxley, though I didn’t look through them. The article itself does not report the simulation methods or equations they used.
