Do I have to use Speedgoat machines if i want to use Simulink Real Time?

Hi, I used to use XPC-target on an earlier version of MATLAB, and the target computer could be any compatible PC. After that, our Lab bought dSPACE instead and I transferred my work to dSPACE platform. But when team members are getting more and more, the dSPACE can bearly meet everyone's requirement so I think that I can built another XPC-target. But I found that XPC has been changed to Simulink Real Time and in the introduction part, it says that you should use a dedicated machine from Speedgoat. My question is, can I still use other compatible PC instead not one from Speedgoat?

Hi Ye Yuan,
The xPC concept was hard to maintain and support. xPC users were facing many compatibility issues, due to new technologies and advanced features. Since many years, MathWorks and Speedgoat teams work together to offer fully integrated hardware and software solution for real-time testing. I recommend you get in touch with us: https://www.speedgoat.com/company/contact-us
Thanks, Diego
